Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on Bricks infringes your copyright, send a written notification to our designated agent at the contact information above.

To be legally effective under the DMCA, your notification must include substantially all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. 2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works at a single site are covered by one notification, a representative list of such works. 3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it on Bricks (for example, a direct link, post URL, username, wall name, or a clear description with date and time). 4. Information reasonably sufficient for us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address. 5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. 6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

We may forward your notice to the user who posted the material. Submitting a false or bad-faith notice may have legal consequences.

Our Response

When we receive a notice that appears to comply with the DMCA, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified in the notice, where appropriate.

We may also restrict accounts that repeatedly infringe copyrights or repeatedly submit invalid takedown notices.

Counter-Notification

If you believe material you posted on Bricks was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to our designated agent.

A counter-notification must include substantially all of the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature. 2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal. 3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification. 4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Bricks may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice or an agent of that person.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in accordance with the DMCA unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity related to the material.
